We are a group of young professionals who gather resources for, and increase awareness of the Humane Society of Huron Valley, while advocating for the welfare of animals.

The Animal Advocates of Ann Arbor support the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) through direct fundraising at our group events, volunteering, sharing about HSHV in the community, and participating in HSHV events.

We also raise awareness of animal advocacy efforts in the state of Michigan, and volunteer with other advocates to speak up for animal welfare.

What’s a Young Professional (YP) group?

YP groups are usually led by young professionals (in their 20s and 30s) who focus their events and marketing efforts on peers. They are often volunteers for a local non-profit or other organization that provides a service to the community. While this is all true of A4, our community events are open to the public and we welcome people of all ages to join us! Our efforts are focused on supporting the Humane Society of Huron Valley.

Check out our interview with All About Ann Arbor (the “other A4”) to learn more about how we got our start.
