HSHV is calling for help from supporters to ban declawing in Michigan! You can make a difference in Michigan’s cats lives! Declawing is a form of surgery performed on cats to remove their claws. This surgery also requires removal of some bones which leads to chronic pain and behavioral issues for cats. Though it seems like it could be performed with no effect on the animal’s life, studies have shown that this just is not the case. HSHV is asking for supporters to contact their representative and ask to support the declawing ban in Michigan. They have even put together an easy-to-use form on their website. Please, use the link below and let your representative know that you want to support a declawing ban in Michigan. We have learned that emails are great, but phone calls are even better. If you want your voice to go further, you can also call your representative and voice your stance on this potential bill. Check the link in our bio for more info! ⬆️
